Why Prepaid?
- If you wish to receive telephone calls from an incarcerated friend or family member to your cellular telephone it is likely that a Prepaid Collect account will need to be established. A majority of cellular telephone companies do not allow “collect” operator assisted calls of any sort.
- Your home telephone number may also have a “block” set up through your Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC).
- Prepaid Collect Calls accounts may also be a good way for you to control the amount of funds being spent on communications between yourself and an incarcerated friend or family member.
How much does it cost?
- Prepaid Collect Calls Services may be established with a minimum of $15.00. Charges will be deducted from the account upon a completed, accepted telephone call. Each time a call is accepted an automated operator will inform you of your updated account balance. You may Prepay in any dollar denomination above $15.00.
- A one–time Establishment Fee may also be required to setup your Prepaid Account. The Establishment Fee is considered a separate charge and not part of the $15.00 minimum required to set up an account. Once an account is Established, you may replenish the dollar amount without any further Establishment Fee charges..
- Calling rates can differ from facility to facility. You may call Legacy Inmate Communications Prepaid Collect Customer Service Department at888-PAY(729)-4326 for specific rate information in regard to your facility of interest. Rate quotes will also be provided, if selected, by the operator upon the acceptance of your first call.
What happens when I run out of Prepaid money for the calls?
- When an inmate dials your number, the calls will no longer be routed to that number. You may recharge your Prepaid account at anytime via this website by entering your existing telephone number or by calling 888-PAY-4326.
How do I pay for it?
- You may set up a Prepaid Collect account website or by calling 888-PAY-4326. Payment options via this website include Credit Card and PayPal.
- If you wish to utilize Western Union, MoneyGram, or send a Cashiers Check/Money Order – your account will need to be set up by calling company’s Customer Service Department at 888-PAY-4326. Their representatives are available 24-hours a day.
- Western Union and MoneyGram forms can be printed from their website or filled out at your closest Western Union or MoneyGram site. Legacy’s customer care professional can help you locate the nearest site to your home.

- Legacy will either send confirmation via e-mail or have a representative call when receiving funds via Western Union or MoneyGram. Legacy will activate accounts within one (1) business day of receiving the funds.
