Iowa department of correction provides for prepaid facility in its facilities to inmate for making phone calls.
Inmate Telephone Accounts Pre-Paid Service
Inmates are required to fill prepaid service forms available at: http://www.doc.state.ia.us/PrePaidServiceForm.asp
This form is required to be filled with each deposit for inmate pre-paid phone credits. All Deposits Must Be Addressed and Sent to:

Families and friends on an offender’s calling list may call (319) 372-5432 extensions 1204#, 1210# or 1321#, Monday through Friday between 1:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. with questions regarding deposits. Emails can be sent to: docoffendertelephone@iowa.gov.
Calls to toll free numbers and 900 numbers are prohibited.
The minimum amount for each deposit will be $20.00. Only cashiers checks and money orders will be accepted. All deposits must be designated to an inmate name and matching I.D. number.
