Telephone system provider

The inmate phone service provider is Public Communications Services (PCS). This provider offers lower rates for families and friends of offenders receiving calls from IDOC facilities.
All calls are 30 minutes except at Idaho Maximum Security Institution, which allows 45 minutes.
The rates are as follows:

DEBIT

Local and intrastate calls $3.40
Interstate and Canada calls $3.40 
International $5 setup and $1 per minute plus tax (debit only)

PREPAID COLLECT

Local and intrastate calls $3.60 plus tax
Interstate and Canada calls $3.60 set up $.80 per minute, plus tax

COLLECT

Local and intrastate calls $3.80 plus tax
Interstate and Canada calls $3.80 set up $.85 per minute, plus tax
Note: The inmate can make debit calls by purchasing time through the inmate commissary provider.
Prepaid collect accounts can be set up by family and friends directly through PCS by calling the customer service number: 1-888-288-9879, or by going on-line to www.PCSDailyDial.com
Unlike debit and prepaid calls, collect calls cannot be placed to the following

• Cell phone numbers
• Business phone numbers
• Hospitals phone numbers
• Commercial phone numbers
• Numbers that are serviced by Local Exchange Carriers that do not bill for collect calls

PCS’ Daily Dial™ prepaid calling account can be used, if you experience any of the following:

• You have a collect call restriction by your local phone provider
• You have exceeded the collect call limit
•  You are unable to receive inmate calls on your cell phone, office phone, hospital phone orother commercial phone numbers
• Your local telephone company does not bill for inmate collect calls 
• Your phone number is blocked from receiving inmate collect calls 
•  You have a high collect call bill and want to manage your calling budget
