The Inmate Telephone System (ITS) provided by Advance Technology Group Inc is designed to provide the Department of Corrections (DOC) with a scalable, robust, and secure platform. The system uses the latest technology and features to provide flexibility and consistency. With support for pre-paid collect and debit calling, the system allows the DOC to control costs and maximize revenue. ITS supports lockbox operations and links to inmate trust fund and commissary systems to support money collection and management.
ITS significantly reduces operational costs through its centralized architecture. Although controllable at an institution, the system allows for centralized parameters and controls. It provides reports at both the institution and centralized level. ITS is based upon open industry standard hardware such as Windows 2000 servers and the Intel communications platform.
ITS also contains the feature set to be manageable by the DOC - including flexible choice of carriers and service providers. Through its unique approach to separation of communication services from hardware, ITS's approach is designed to be more efficient and profitable to DOC operations.
Inmate Phone System Features
Support for Debit and Pre-Paid Collect Calls
The system has been designed as a debit calling system to support the current approach to inmate phone systems by various DOCs. It provides a pre-paid collect mechanism where a called party submit funds to the ITS and optionally designates the funds to be used by inmates for calls to that party only.
Centralized Control and Reporting
ITS has been designed to be scalable to support institutions small and large. The servers can be configured to operate independently or through a centralized parameter set that can be optionally overridden by the individual institutions. Office reports are configurable by the user to provide key information and data that can be exported or directly linked for interaction with outside financial systems.
